Folding bicycles

Anyone here rides a folding bicycle? There are quite a few options out there. In terms of ride quality should I choose 16 inch wheel? 18 inch? 20 inch?? lighter weight is a plus but not a must, my current bike (very old one made of steel) weights over 18kg so anything would be an upgrade. I do prefer smaller folded size, makes it easy to make use of public transport. The folding bits do make me a bit nervous, hinge are often the structural weak point. I’m close to ruling out titanium frame, they are expensive and titanium is difficult to work with. I ruled out carbon fiber from the start, they are just plastic.

I have one folding bike with 16inch 6 speeds. the difference between 16 inch and 20 inch in confort and speed are huge. 16 inch is not confortable.

@Cotteux I was hoping I could save some weight with smaller tyre/rim, but now I will pick 20 inch.
