Have you looked at the Evercade? More legal means of acquiring games, if that kind of thing matters to you.

I recently encountered this website while having the same thought! https://gamedad.club/ … in my case I was able to hack my switch instead, but these machines look very nice.

been looking at androd handheld consoles. might buy one and put emulators on it and maybe buy some games off google play.
