A lot more than http

I mostly also post my artwork to here, alongside making posts on here, and updating my Gemini Capsule. (I'm honestly thinking of making my capsule on another capsule hosting place in the Gemini web too.) Since there's issues with my Syncthing rn.

I might give Flounder online a try too.

the what now?

Syncthing or Flounder.online? Syncthing is basically a piece of software that you can use to sync files on two devices I think. Sorry if I sound too technical btw.

@bsj38381 Do you support your art with gemini protocol somehow?

It doesn't intrude addictively, nearly as much as Big Social did. I'm old enough to remember life before facebook, and this kinda reminds me of phpboards and geocities and free .tk domains. a happier time, because it hadn't been monetized/weaponized yet. That said, I bet I gravitate towards BBoards more than searching for random capsules, bc of a vestigial sort of attachment to Facebook style socialization. I see Gemini space as a progression, not regression, from psychologically weaponized http. It doesn't take away from work/life more than I give it, and that puts the moral agency fairly back in my own court.

@Half_Elf_Monk I hear you. Do you remember a chatroom called "The Globe?" It was a manual refresh kind.

@argyle Hmm, yeah. I post my artwork on the art subspace, I just make sure to resize and compress it so the kb aren't too big.

And I have an image folder for my Gemsync capsule as well too, if that counts.

@Half_Elf_Monk I'm actually finding myself coming back here often due to the fact things actually feel worth reading.
