this is exactly what i've been doing! the issue seems to be with the ansi formatting itself.

Not all browsers support ANSI escapes (or support subsets when they do...)

Can you provide an example and we can maybe chime in on what we see?

It could also be that when you copy/paste, the ASCII ESC (27) characters get stripped somewhere along the way, since they are control codes.

apologies to all - as it turns out, I have no idea what i'm doing or saying and completely misunderstood what an escape code even is. thank you @skyjake, it turned out to be exactly what you said. I'll see if i can find a way to paste fully formatted ANSI in nano without it messing up and deleting completely unrelated things. Thank you all! :°3

I now have a different concern. How do you display ANSI art on gemini? I tried looking at various examples, including astrobotany's colorized ASCII art and I am completely dumbfounded as to why when I paste ANSI text into pre-formatted lines it just, doesn't work. I even tried copy-pasting astrobotany's source into my own gemini capsule, and the colored art simply doesn't display. It shows the escape codes but really, nothing else. I can't find anything about this. Any help would be heavily...
