My idea for a tiny computer using a 8x40 character display

I wish to have a simple SBC (like a Raspberry Pi Zero) with a 8x40 characters display as stdout to work as a terminal. So it could be powered with batteries, hopefully, and/or solar power. Can it be accomplished?

That's my bogus idea. Such device should be able to ssh, rsync and do basic gemini/gopher browsing, edit text files, math and that sort of thing.

Why a character terminal? A small TFT is easy to pair with a Zero W and a mini Bluetooth keyboard to get what you would like....
