Bug: Restoring a closed tab with Ctrl+T causes it to lose its history.

To reproduce:

Step 1. Open a page in a new tab (e.g. using middle-click).

Step 2. Follow one of the links in that page.

Step 3. Close the page / tab.

Step 4. Press Ctrl+T to 'undo' the closing of the page / tab.

Step 5. Try to go 'back' in history.

The bug is that the history is no longer available (as also suggested by the fact that the back button is disabled).

Whereas I would have expected the default behaviour to be, e.g., like Firefox, where the history of the re-opened tab has been preserved.

This is the intended behavior at the moment, so not a bug per se. I do agree restoring the tab's navigation history would be better, but that would require a number of changes in how the history is saved when tabs close.

I'll consider improving this but only as a low-priority item.
